Review of: North Carolina Zoo. We LOVE this place!! My wife and I have visited this zoo twice.. She loved seeing the animals! This is an all day thing and tons of great exhibits.

My only complaint was it was very hot the day we went so we wanted to get some drinks. We used them but because we were thirsty!! This would be the only ding I had for them. The only other issue that I have seen both times we have gone is with the gorilla exhibit. They need to put an automatic sidewalk up there so everybody can get a chance to see the animals!

Yes, they are located in a strip mall of sorts. I also hate to see the bears in a concrete pit. However, I also don't want to run into them in nature! The facility was clean, bears were happy and playful.

We bought a couple cups of food for the drive through- this is a must have to interact with the animals. When you drive through the animals come up to the cars looking for food. The funniest were the ostriches whom I have never seen so close up. A recommendation for the zoo would be to put signs along the drive on what the animals are as some we had no idea.

The lamas are great especially for first time visitors as you can feed them and it feels like two velvet pads eating from your hand. I almost peed my pants when feeding one of the horned cows as it licked me. Everyone in our car was laughing the entire time.
